Job Description
A 20+ year direct lender for small businesses is seeking an Email Marketing Manager to re-engage existing leads and website visitors using email and SMS. You’ll set up and improve lifecycle programs that turn warm interest into funded customers. You’ll work in Attentive or Klaviyo to build segments, campaigns, and always-on flows. The role is remote but San Diego based candidates are preferred.
What success looks like:
- More engagement from dormant leads and recent site visitors
- More application starts/submissions from email/SMS
- Better deliverability and conversion rates over time
Email Marketing Manager Responsibilities
- Build and manage email/SMS journeys (welcome, nurture, reactivation, post-application)
- Turn cold/warm leads and site traffic into applications with targeted campaigns and triggers
- Create segments (by source, behavior, recency) and run A/B tests (subject lines, timing,
- creative, CTAs)
- Track results (deliverability, opens, clicks, conversions, funded outcomes) and share simple takeaways
- Work with sales/ops so timing and messaging line up with the application process
Email Marketing Manager Requirements
- Must have: hands-on Attentive or Klaviyo experience (flows, campaigns, segmentation)
- Proven experience running remarketing/lifecycle programs (email + SMS)
- Comfortable with basic analytics (UTMs, funnel metrics) and testing
- Clear, concise copywriting for direct-response
- Able to work cross-functionally and move quickly on experiments
