Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting students in a dynamic and collaborative school environment. This contract position runs from August 21, 2026, through June 14, 2027, offering the opportunity to foster academic and personal growth among students in grades 2–6. You’ll work Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 2:35 PM, providing dedicated instruction and case management for a diverse caseload of approximately 20–24 students.
The role centers on delivering tailored instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning skills aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families to ensure consistent support and student success. As a case manager, your responsibilities will include leading IEP meetings and maintaining accurate, timely documentation for all students on your caseload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Experience teaching or supporting students with SLD, SLI, and OHI preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation
- Ability to provide differentiated instruction across core academic areas
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement special education lesson plans tailored to individual IEPs
- Manage case files and facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and student progress
- Work with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and attend weekly team meetings, primarily on Tuesdays
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
