Job Description
Iskalo Development Corp. is seeking a skilled HVAC / Electrical Service Technician to support and maintain a portfolio of premier commercial, retail, and residential buildings across Erie and Niagara Counties. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting building systems, working independently in the field, and ensuring mechanical and electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to HVAC and electrical building system issues across multiple properties
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, thermostats, and ventilation systems
- Perform electrical troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, meters, and hand/power tools to identify and complete minor electrical repairs, including lighting, outlets, breakers, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain building controls and management systems for lighting and HVAC programs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Engage with third-party HVAC and electrical vendors when on-site to further diagnose and/or repair and HVAC or electrical issue
- Work with property managers and tenants to address building comfort and operational concerns.
Secondary Responsibilities - respond to and tackle a wide range of maintenance and repair work, as needed, including plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, lock sets.
Job Requirements
- Travel between properties using a company-provided vehicle
- Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC and/or electrical service experience
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building controls
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently
- EPA certification or HVAC certification preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
