Job Details:

• Work 3 12-hour night shifts with potential for overtime
\n• Block schedules attempted but 6 on 8 off schedule not guaranteed
\n• Available shift times: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Rotational holiday coverage with core staff
\n• No call or standby requirements
\n• No floating requirements
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC
\n• BSN not required
\n• Maintain 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
\n• Work in P4 Trauma Center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities
\n• Manage 28 beds including 2 designated trauma/code rooms
\n• Treat average of 70-75 patients per day
\n• Handle common diagnoses including sepsis, medical/surgical conditions, overdose, trauma, and COPD
\n• Manage critical care drips, TPA, sedation, paralytics
\n• Required critical care skill set for cardiac dysrhythmias, BiPap, CPAP, mechanical ventilation
\n• Perform radial ABG draws
\n• Care for age-specific populations from infant to geriatric
\n• Navy scrubs required - solid color only, no embroidery or patterns
\n• Closed-toe shoes required, no crocs allowed
\n• Two 12-hour orientation shifts with preceptor
\n• Skills checklist completion required within 90 days
\n• EPIC charting system
\n\n

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department serving as a P4 Trauma Center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities. The facility features 28 emergency beds including dedicated trauma and code rooms, separate triage and psychiatric seclusion areas, and 24/7 security stationed in the emergency department. The facility provides full respiratory therapy services, phlebotomy support around the clock, and maintains modern imaging capabilities with X-ray and CT services located adjacent to the emergency department.
