Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel opportunity seeks a skilled Ultrasound General sonographer to support two premier hospital settings in Boston, MA. The role involves performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations across two renowned medical centers, providing advanced imaging services that support critical patient care.

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)
  • Monday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear (MEE)
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear (MEE)
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct head and neck ultrasound exams at MEE following detailed protocols
  • Participate in ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and possibly operating room guidance
  • Perform routine general ultrasounds, transplanted liver and kidney imaging, DVT exams (upper and lower extremities) at MGH
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure accurate and timely imaging interpretation
  • Utilize Philips Epiq Elite equipment at MEE and GE Logiq 10s at MGH
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience is a valuable asset for work at MGH

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging, including head & neck anatomy
  • Ability to perform ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
  • Familiarity with diverse ultrasound equipment, particularly Philips and GE systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Pediatric imaging experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Valid ultrasound sonographer certification and licensure as required
