Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This travel opportunity seeks a skilled Ultrasound General sonographer to support two premier hospital settings in Boston, MA. The role involves performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations across two renowned medical centers, providing advanced imaging services that support critical patient care.
Work Schedule:
- Sunday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)
- Monday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear (MEE)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear (MEE)
- Saturday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct head and neck ultrasound exams at MEE following detailed protocols
- Participate in ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and possibly operating room guidance
- Perform routine general ultrasounds, transplanted liver and kidney imaging, DVT exams (upper and lower extremities) at MGH
- Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure accurate and timely imaging interpretation
- Utilize Philips Epiq Elite equipment at MEE and GE Logiq 10s at MGH
- Pediatric ultrasound experience is a valuable asset for work at MGH
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging, including head & neck anatomy
- Ability to perform ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
- Familiarity with diverse ultrasound equipment, particularly Philips and GE systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Pediatric imaging experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid ultrasound sonographer certification and licensure as required
