Pay Rate: $22–$25/hour
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

About the Role
A well-established healthcare organization in Chicago is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join their team on a contract basis. As a third-party recruiting partner, we are looking for candidates who are passionate about healthcare administration and have a strong understanding of medical billing processes.
This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable provider while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies
  • Review patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and initiate appeals as needed
  • Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
  • Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
  • Experience with billing software and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical billing is a plus

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
