Job Description

NOCTI/NBS is seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of marketing initiatives that support organizational goals. In this role, you’ll balance big-picture thinking with practical execution—setting priorities, guiding messaging, and ensuring marketing efforts remain focused, consistent, and impactful. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate organizational objectives into clear marketing strategies and make thoughtful decisions about where to invest time and resources. NOCTI/NBS serves a diverse national audience, including administrators, educators, workforce partners, and industry clients. Clear, accurate, and consistent marketing and communications are essential to supporting our mission and building trust with these audiences. This role supports that work by ensuring marketing initiatives, messaging, and materials are thoughtfully planned, well-coordinated, and effectively executed across channels.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with leadership priorities and organizational goals.
  • Set marketing goals, prioritize initiatives, and guide overall marketing strategy to ensure focused and effective use of resources.
  • Manage and steward the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, voice, and visual standards across all channels.
  • Create and oversee content and campaigns across digital and experiential channels, including websites, email campaigns, and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Coordinate with contracted marketing and communications partners to execute PPC, SEM, organic content, and digital campaigns aligned with strategy.
  • Support public relations, events, and strategic partnerships through consistent messaging, materials, and external communications.
  • Track marketing activities and performance, maintaining a marketing calendar and using analytics and partner reporting to inform decisions and future initiatives.


Background

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, or related fields; an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience will be considered in place of a specific degree.
  • Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE), workforce development, certification, or assessment industries is a plus.

  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, including websites, email marketing systems, and CRM/marketing automation tools
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to execute coordinated marketing initiatives
  • Ability to review performance data and analytics to inform decisions, assess effectiveness, and guide future efforts


Work Arrangement

This is a full-time, primarily remote position. Team members are expected to be onsite at the NOCTI/NBS headquarters in Big Rapids, Michigan for occasional in-person meetings and events—generally fewer than five times per year—providing opportunities for collaboration and connection with colleagues across departments.
