Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Sign Language Interpreter position is available in Aurora, CO, offering a dynamic role supporting students and educators in an educational environment. This position requires effective communication skills and expertise in sign language interpretation to facilitate accessible learning experiences for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret conversations and classroom activities between teachers, students, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL) or other sign language methods.
  • Assist in communicating educational material clearly and accurately.
  • Support inclusion by ensuring full participation of deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
  • Participate in meetings and educational planning to provide insight on communication needs.
  • Travel between schools or locations as required.

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or equivalent experience.
