Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Hudson, Florida

Position Overview
A leading acute care hospital in Hudson, Florida is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU to join its Critical Care team. The ICU RN will provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes through evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This role requires strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring of vital signs and hemodynamic status.

Administer medications, IV drips, and advanced therapies in accordance with physician orders.

Manage ventilators, invasive lines, and other life-support equipment.

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in code response teams as needed.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care progression.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (or compact state).

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years of ICU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Current BLS certification.
-
ACLS certification required.

Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ventilators and advanced cardiac monitoring.

CCRN certification preferred.

Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
