Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking a Certified Payroll Associate to join our Payroll team. As a member of the Accounting department, this individual will report to our Payroll Manager. The primary function of this role is to manage the certified payroll information for our certified payroll projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Run certified payroll reports in Viewpoint and upload to certified payroll and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) systems.
  • Responsible for 80 certified payroll projects at a time (on average).
  • Correspond directly with OCIP/CCIPs Administrators on certified payroll requirements and project audit requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Work closely with various intercompany divisional payroll departments to ensure companywide certified payroll accuracy.
  • Coordinate and maintain project site EEO reports.
  • Track and maintain journeyman to apprenticeship ratio job requirements.
  • Manage and oversee multiple company subcontractor certified payrolls for compliance.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

  • 2+ years of general finance experience, construction related experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint software is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Elation, LCP, & MARS certified payroll software systems a plus.
  • Strong organization, verbal and written communication, and attention to detail.



OTHER:


  • Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.

  • General work environment sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, bending.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
