A non-profit in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their staff in a Supervisory role.
About the Opportunity:
<ul>
<li>Schedule: Monday to Friday</li>
<li>Hours: 6:15am - 1:45pm</li>
<li>Call: Light rotated call</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform physical exams, diagnose substance use disorders, provide medications for opioid use disorder and hepatitis C </li>
<li>Provide primary care services to a subset of patients, order/review lab tests, respond to medical emergencies</li>
<li>Supervise lead nurse and nursing team; provide oversight of their dispensing of medication and DEA reporting</li>
<li>Assist medical director in development of nursing protocols, policies and procedures </li>
<li>Identify problems and potential improvements in treatment process and enlist interest and support of other staff </li>
<li>Perform other duties, as assigned</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>3 years of Nursing experience</li>
<li>NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license</li>
<li>Active DEA registration</li>
<li>Experience in a Supervisory role</li>
</ul>
