We are seeking a high-end resort and country club banquet culinary leader responsible for executing weddings, corporate events, conferences, retreats, and social gatherings. The venue features multiple event spaces, including ballrooms, pavilions, breakout rooms, private board rooms, and outdoor ceremony sites overlooking a golf course, accommodating up to 1,000 guests across simultaneous events.
The Banquet Executive Chef leads all banquet kitchen operations, ensuring flawless execution of high-volume, high-end events. This role requires creativity, hands-on leadership, and strong collaboration with sales and catering teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own banquet operations across all event spaces, ensuring smooth execution from planning to service
- Manage, train, and develop a team of ~5 banquet staff
- Execute menus with precision, including plating, creative displays, and high-quality presentation
- Collaborate with sales and catering teams to meet client expectations
- Maintain operational consistency, quality standards, and attention to detail across all events
- Contribute creatively to banquet and event menus within established guidelines
- Adapt operations for weddings, corporate conferences, team-building events, and breakout sessions
Qualifications
- Experience in resort, hotel, or high-volume banquet operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, with up to 1,000 guests total
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on approach to kitchen management and staff development
- Comfortable collaborating with sales/catering teams and executing diverse events
- Ability to maintain quality, timing, and presentation standards under pressure
