Roofing Builder Sales Rep/Account Management Rep


Job Summary


The Builder Sales Rep/Account Management Rep is responsible for developing, managing,

and growing relationships with home builders, developers, and general contractors This role focuses on new business development, ongoing account management,estimating coordination, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction from pre-construction through project completion.


You will own relationships on existing and new accounts from end to end: including pricing, trust, responsiveness and long term-loyality. You will be Summit Point’s Subject Matter Expert in this area.


You will be responsible for growing and retaining builder relations by being the most reliable, knowledgeable and proactive roofing partner on every job.


This position serves as the primary point of contact for assigned builder accounts and works closely with operations, estimating, and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to company quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development


● Develop and grow relationships with builders, developers, and general contractors

● Identify and pursue new builder accounts and project opportunities

● Attend builder meetings, jobsite visits, pre-construction meetings, and industry events

● Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue targets


Account Management


● Serve as the primary contact for assigned builder accounts and seek out new opportunities with existing accounts in regard to our products and services

● Manage pricing agreements, scopes of work, and ongoing contract terms

● Prepare and submit change orders in a timely manner and communicate details with

client

● Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and follow-up

● Resolve customer concerns and coordinate internally to ensure timely solutions


Estimating & Project Coordination


● Review plans, specifications, and scopes to assist with accurate bid development

● Coordinate with estimating and production teams on pricing, schedules, and materials

● Ensure clear handoff from sales to operations once projects are awarded

● Monitor project progress and proactively communicate with clients throughout the build


Administrative & CRM Responsibilities


● Track opportunities, accounts, and activities in CRM software

● Maintain accurate records of bids, contracts, pricing, and correspondence

● Prepare sales reports and forecasts as required


Required Qualifications


● 2+ years of experience in construction sales, account management, or business

development

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

● Roofing, building materials, or construction industry experience preferred

● Strong understanding of the builder and contractor sales process

● Superb communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

● Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and scopes of work

● Strong organizational and time-management skills

● Proficient with CRM systems, estimating software, and googlesuite a plus

● Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to jobsites and client meetings


Preferred Qualifications


● Experience selling to production builders, custom home builders, or commercial

developers

● Knowledge of residential and/or commercial roofing systems (shingles, metal, flat

roofing, etc.)

● Estimating or takeoff experience

● Existing relationships within the local builder or construction community
