Job DescriptionAccount ManagerJob Summary:
The Account Manager will be responsible for providing solution-based sales strategies to grow business with new and existing customers. You will have the opportunity to generate new business across all product lines within an assigned geographic territory (Northern Colorado).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs
- Collaborate with sales team, including other account managers, coordinators, and sales managers to achieve business goals
- Plan and manage the assigned territory to maximize potential revenue
- Build and foster meaningful business relationships
- Ensure high quality customer satisfaction and retention
- Incorporate all applicable sales strategies, programs, and other marketing tools (e.g. cold calling, prospecting, networking, and market knowledge)
- Submit weekly/monthly reports, including call logs for prospects and existing customers
- Submit timely and accurate forecasting, proposals, order write-ups, and required paperwork
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of sales experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience within the material handling industry preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to work safely in areas with potential exposure to cold/hot temperatures, noise pollution, dust, solvents, fuels, and battery acid.
