Join our team as a Production Assembler where you will play a crucial role in assembling electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using a variety of tools and assembly process equipment. Your skills will contribute to the creation of high-quality products in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand assembly prints, Bill of Materials, ECOs, and assembly processes.
• Assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using tools and assembly process equipment.
• Frequently use screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
• Perform hand soldering, depending on the department.
• Utilize a variety of adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.
• Use computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes.
• Conduct electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.
• Perform quality control inspection functions.
• Adapt to a variety of manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, soldering, small screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled in using microscopes for detailed assembly work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with PCB or small part assembly required.
• IPC/J-STD certification highly preferred.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. You'll be provided with a smock and safety glasses, but safety toe shoes are not provided. Be prepared for a strong epoxy smell in certain areas. Our large production area supports different lines for gas and flame detection sensors. Cross-training is available, and we will place you in the department that best suits your skills and interests.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
