Business Development Manager

FloatMyBiz is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to help us grow by building relationships with local businesses and organizations that need help improving their online presence.
We work with small and mid sized businesses to make marketing feel simple, effective, and approachable. Our services include website design, SEO, digital advertising, signage, and marketing automation. Many of our clients are busy business owners who want a trusted partner to help them show up better online and bring in more business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys networking, sales, and creating opportunities. If you are self motivated, confident in conversations, and excited by uncapped earning potential, we would love to connect.
This role is ideal for someone who is already comfortable with networking, relationship based sales, B2B outreach, or local business development and wants income tied directly to performance.
What We do
- Build and maintain relationships with local business owners and decision makers
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outreach, and community engagement
- Introduce potential clients to FloatMyBiz services in a clear, helpful, and professional way
- Set appointments, lead sales conversations, and close new business
- Work closely with our team to understand client needs and recommend the right solutions
- Manage your pipeline, follow ups, and opportunities throughout the sales process
- Represent FloatMyBiz professionally in the community and online
- Generate new business through outreach, referrals, networking, and consistent follow up
- Warm leads may occasionally be provided, but success in this role will come from your ability to proactively build and grow your own pipeline
What we're Looking For
- Experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar client facing role preferred
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Comfortable with prospecting, outreach, and closing deals
- Proficiency with CRM tools and the ability to track leads, follow ups, and pipeline activity in an organized way
- Self motivated and able to manage your own schedule and pipeline
- Passion for helping small businesses grow
- Knowledge of digital marketing, websites, SEO, advertising, branding, or signage is helpful but not required
- Candidates with experience in marketing sales, advertising sales, B2B services, printing or signage sales, website sales, or business networking may be especially well suited for this role
- Local connections in Kent County are a plus
Compensation
- This is a commission only independent contractor opportunity with uncapped earning potential. The more business you bring in, the more you earn.
- Commission is paid on closed business. Full compensation details, payout structure, and service specific commission rates will be discussed during the interview process.

Support You'll Receive
- FloatMyBiz will provide onboarding, service education, pricing guidance, and sales support materials to help you confidently represent our offerings.
- Warm leads may occasionally be shared from time to time, but contractors are expected to take ownership of business development and consistently generate new opportunities.
