Summary
Responsible for supervising and administering operations for the Food Outlet, assist in the coordination of new ideas in guest service, service training and product enhancement.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manages, assigns and directs work assignments, mentors and evaluates Team Members.
- In charge of interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members.
- Addressing complaints from guests and Team Members; and resolving problems in accordance with department policies with guidance and support from the General Manager.
- Applies positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.
- Formulates and administers departmental budget.
- Develops annual goals and objectives.
- Instructs in operation procedures, policies and guest relations.
- Develops pricing and evaluates regularly to ensure guests’ needs are met.
- Ensures excellent quality product and service is delivered.
- Carries out Managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Protects the assets of Soboba Resort Casino and maintains confidentiality and integrity when accessing team member information maintained in departmental files/systems.
- Instill budgetary controls using established budget on an everyday basis.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assist hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Two (2) years experience in front of the house operation, required.
- Two (2) years- three (3) years experience in a Supervisory capacity or above required.
- Gaming or Hospitality experience preferred.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
- Tips Certification, which can be obtained through on-site courses.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Food & Beverage Handlers Card from Riverside County.
