JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operator to join our assembly and fabrication team, specializing in hydraulic motors and steering units. This position involves working with technical documentation, such as blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to assemble and fabricate components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic math skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble and fabricate hydraulic motors and steering units based on blueprints, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machine operations, tooling, or part quality.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment to ensure safety and adherence to company standards.
- Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Required Skill Sets:
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform offsets and simple calculations.
- Familiarity with standard measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to handle parts and tools with care.
- Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs as needed.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and company procedures.
Desired Skill Sets:
- Prior experience in hydraulic systems or component assembly.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical or fabrication processes.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to identify and suggest process improvements.
