A-Line Staffing is now hiring an Manufacturing Assembly and Test Technician in Sparks, MD 21152.
The Instrument Test Technician 1 will be working for a Fortune 500 medical device company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time, 40+ hours per week.
Location: Sparks, MD 21152
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift - Mandatory overtime is required

Compensation
- Pay rate: $25.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on eligibility dates
Highlights

Responsibilities
- Perform production assembly operations, system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues in non-functioning test equipment
- Analyze test results to determine pass/fail criteria and provide corrective solutions
- Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process for production instruments
- Execute functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments
- Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
- Train and support associates on testing and mechanical activities as needed
- Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
- Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
- Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Perform material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- OR Associate’s Degree (AA) with relevant technical skills
Experience & Skills:
- 3.5+ years of manufacturing experience (or equivalent technical education)
- Experience testing moderately complex instruments
- Ability to read drawings, measure dimensions, and use mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with PCs and Windows-based systems
- Ability to manage multiple production orders and changing priorities
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles
