About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and “creative” bookkeeper who is fluent in QuickBooks Online and comfortable navigating the nuances of small business finances.
“Creative” doesn’t mean cutting corners—it means:
Finding smarter, cleaner ways to organize financials
Identifying inefficiencies or missed opportunities
Helping us make better decisions based on real data
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
Categorize transactions accurately and consistently
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records
Generate monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Collaborate with CPA for tax preparation and filings
Ensure compliance with Florida and U.S. tax requirements
Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial insights
Requirements
Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (this is non-negotiable)
Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles and tax basics
Familiarity with Florida-specific tax considerations
Experience working with small businesses (agency or service-based a plus)
High attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
