Job Description
We have been retained by a FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking an EHS Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, this position will be responsible for leading the Safety and Environmental programs for a 400 employee/ $200M+ campus. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Note: This position is skewed 80% safety, 20% environmental
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Reporting to the GM, the EHS Manager will be the "functional leader" of the EHS department while leading 1 direct report. This is a very "hands on" position (i.e. Working Manager).
- Lead and direct personnel and strategy for Safety and environmental programs.
- Ensure campus wide awareness/culture of regulatory (federal, state, local) and organizational environmental and safety requirements.
- Oversee EHS training procedures for new and existing employees.
- Identify, collect, analyze, and report up EHS-specific metrics and KPIs.
- Act as point of contact for regulatory authorities.
- Drive effective, positive change to EHS programs and EHS culture.
- Lead EHS auditing strategy.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational/Industrial Safety, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of EHS Leadership experience within heavy manufacturing environment(s).
- Well-rounded EHS skills and expertise (safety and environmental)
