Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This role is based in Pawtucket, RI, supporting students with hearing impairments through remote instructional methods.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing via telehealth platforms
• Developing and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Collaborating with families and educational staff to ensure effective communication and student progress
• Monitoring student performance and maintaining thorough documentation of instructional sessions
• Utilizing appropriate assistive technologies to enhance learning outcomes

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Experience delivering instruction through telehealth or other remote formats
• Strong knowledge of auditory and communication development strategies
• Ability to create individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
