Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
\n• Patient ratio of 1:6 consistently across all shifts
\n• Every other weekend required
\n• Every other holiday required
\n• Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
\n• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
\n• Cerner charting system experience required
\n• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
\n• ACLS certification preferred
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• First time travelers accepted
\n• 12 hours of orientation provided
\n• Skills required include MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring, Genitourinary/Renal care, and IV therapy/Phlebotomy
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, pneumonia, diabetes mellitus, ESRD, renal failure, and PE/DVT
\n• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
\n• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
\n• Two supervisor references required
\n• Must complete modules averaging 12 hours pre-start and during orientation

This healthcare facility operates a 38-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with 17 rooms serving approximately 35 patients daily. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization specializes in caring for patients with complex medical conditions and offers specialized procedures such as peritoneal dialysis.
