Bonitz of Georgia is looking for a skilled Roof Deck Foreman. You will be leading a team through supervision, training and coaching to ensure the team delivers a quality roof deck system to the customer. You’ll also ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the entire roof decking process and team
- Plan daily work goals to complete jobs on time while ensuring both efficiency and quality
- Conduct on-site safety meetings and ensure all safety protocols are being followed
- Supervise, train and coach crew members and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications
- Communicate with the superintendent and support personnel to provide updates and address issues or concerns
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and tools are used in the proper manner and properly maintained
- Maintain an accurate equipment & materials inventory
- Maintain company & OSHA standards
- Submit timely and accurate timesheets, expense reports, delivery tickets, etc.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Overtime as required
- Travel to various job sites, 75% weekday overnight travel
- Must be able to individually lift, push, or pull materials & heavy equipment up to 100 pounds
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess good manual dexterity to climb around equipment and job site
- Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
- Employees may be required to perform any other job-related tasks as requested by the Superintendent
- Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work occasional weekend day(s)
REQUIREMENTS - Bonitz of Georgia is a certified drug-free workplace
- Must be willing to meet requirement for preemployment drug screening & physical as well as MVR review
- 2-3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
- Experience in concrete work preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 30-hour OSHA certification preferred but not required
