What You’ll Do
In this role, you will provide direct mental health services and support to students in a school setting. Responsibilities include:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement mental health interventions and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to promote a positive school climate
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to planning and intervention
- Provide consultation to staff and families regarding student mental health needs

Requirements
To apply, you should have:
- A degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active New York State licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or similar)
- Experience working in elementary school settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practices
- Full-time availability for the 2025–2026 school year in Brocton, NY
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with school-based systems (IEPs, 504s, MTSS, PBIS)
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities
