Contract & Schedule at a Glance
- Contract length: 3–6 months (duration depends on the assigned location)
- Hours: Full-time, 32–40 hours per week for the full duration of the contract
- Schedule: Hours may vary by department and can include days, nights, and some weekends
- Overtime: This role is overtime eligible; overtime may be required based on the project schedule
Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist will support a regional project to catalog and label biomedical equipment across healthcare sites. This role involves on-site data collection, device tagging, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with hospital protocols. Positions are available in San Jose, CA and San Francisco, CA.
This is a temporary, contract position lasting 3–6 months depending on location.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned medical facilities to conduct on-site equipment inventory
- Collect and record data including device type, model, manufacturer, serial number, and location
- Tag and label medical devices for tracking and asset management
- Use spreadsheet software to maintain accurate inventory logs
- Communicate with facility staff to coordinate access and minimize operational disruption
- Submit daily progress reports and maintain organized documentation
- Adhere to all hospital safety, privacy, and compliance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in clinical environments
- Reliable transportation to travel between assigned sites in the San Jose or San Francisco area
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to walk, stand, and navigate hospital facilities throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical equipment inventory, healthcare, or facilities management
- Familiarity with hospital credentialing or compliance procedures
