Instructional Aide Opportunities Flexible, School-Based Support in Shasta Lake, CA
Spindle is actively seeking compassionate Instructional Aides to provide individualized support to students in a school setting. These per diem roles offer flexible, as-needed shifts designed to fit your schedule while making a meaningful impact on student development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation
- Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
- Support physical mobility, supervise activities, and assist with personal care needs
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Completion of TB test in accordance with school district requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance when necessary
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain necessary school clearances prior to start
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certifications such as CPI, PMT, or RBT are beneficial but not mandatory
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, and team-oriented approach
