Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working or volunteering with school-age children preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a caring demeanor in classroom environments
• Ability to follow teacher guidance and implement instructional activities as directed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field a plus
• Willingness to participate in training or orientation provided by the school

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional tasks
• Offer individual or small group support to students, including those with special needs
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources
• Supervise students during non-instructional times as needed (lunches, recess, arrival/dismissal)
• Encourage positive social interactions and reinforce school expectations
• Support students in following routines and engaging fully in classroom activities
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment
