If you love working for a cause and accounting this non-profit is looking for you. We are searching for a Chief Financial Officer to work a hybrid schedule for a great organization in Washington, DC.
The CFO is a senior member of the executive team who provides strategic leadership and oversight for all financial aspects of the organization. The CFO ensures compliance with all financial regulations, maintains transparent and accurate reporting, and develops long-range financial plans to support the organization's mission and growth. Essential duties include: financial strategy and management, financial reporting and compliance, grant and funding management, risk management, and board and stakeholder relations.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a nonprofit organization with complex funding streams. Deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, fund accounting, and compliance requirements, including government grant regulations and GAAP.
- Skills and abilities:
- Strong ability to lead and manage teams, collaborate with executive leadership, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

- High level of integrity, credibility, and ethical standards.
Salary: $200,000.00 per year plus a generous benefits package.
