Job Summary

Our Division of Ophthalmology and Optometry is expanding due to increased demand, and we are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team of ophthalmologists and optometrists. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care, including performing routine eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, managing eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will also work closely with patients to assess their visual health, offer treatment options, and educate them on maintaining optimal eye health. Our practice locations feature newly built clinics with state-of-the-art equipment and spacious lanes with separate testing and procedure rooms, a rare find in New York City!

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care and perform routine eye exams.
• Diagnose and treat visual disorders and manage eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses as needed.
• Assess patient visual health, offer treatment options, and educate on maintaining optimal eye health.
• Work closely with patients and provide high-quality customer service.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment to perform eye examinations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Licensing: Active state optometry license.
• Certification: Valid CPR certificate.
• Experience: Two or more years of optometrist experience preferred.
• Skills: Applied understanding of general optometry principles and best practices for diagnosing and treating eye-related disorders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• General computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
