JOB SUMMARY
The APRN is responsible for the medical aspects of the practice as directed and under the supervision of a physician. The APRN will abide by the Kansas State Board of Nursing Practice Statutes and be responsible for maintaining current qualifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Evaluate physical/psychosocial health status through performing comprehensive health history and physical examinations.
2. Ordering, performing, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic procedures.
3. Plan, implement, and evaluate care.
4. Consult and collaborate with client and health care team at St. Luke for acute or ongoing health care or referral as indicated.
5. Manage the medical plan of care prescribed for the client, based on adopted standards of care protocols.
6. Initiate and maintain accurate records.
7. Develop individualized teaching plans with the client based on health needs.
8. Counsel individuals, families, and groups about health, illness and promotion of health maintenance.
9. Attend St. Luke Medical Staff meetings.
10. Participate in staff meetings.
11. Adhere to St. Luke dress code policy.
12. Treat customers and co-workers with respect and courtesy
13. Complete mandatory annual online education.
14. Maintain current certifications (ACLS, CPR).
15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physician or CEO.
16. Maintain patient and system confidentiality.
17. Handles emergency or crisis situations in a calm manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and long interval of sitting. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Emergency room setting. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases and is subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a medical clinic. Frequent contact with a variety of people.

Ability to read and the ability to write. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to multi-task. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS;
Must have completed educational requirements and have a current license with the State of Kansas.
Must be credentialed to practice medicine as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
