Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Middle School Special Education Teacher position is available in the Lakeville, MN area, offering a full school year commitment. This role focuses on supporting middle school students with diverse learning needs through resource-based instruction tailored to their educational goals.
Location:
- Middle School setting in Lakeville, MN
- Opportunity also near northern Minneapolis area, Brooklyn Center
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide resource support and specialized instruction to middle school students
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning environments
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain records in compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or higher
- Experience teaching in a middle school special education environment preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws and individualized instructional strategies
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule and Duration:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Position available ASAP through May 29
