Director, Global Inventory Accounting | Alpharetta, GA | Hybrid
I’m partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed global manufacturing organization on a newly created Director of Global Inventory Accounting opportunity based in Alpharetta, GA.
This is a high-impact leadership role created due to significant growth, acquisition activity, and broader business transformation. The right person will help lead and modernize global inventory accounting operations across a complex, multi-plant environment.
This role will own inventory accounting across approximately 20 plants globally and partner closely with senior finance and accounting leadership.
Key areas of focus will include:
✅ Global inventory accounting operations
✅ Plant accounting leadership and oversight
✅ SAP / S/4HANA process improvement
✅ Inventory controls, costing, and reporting
✅ Global standardization and process transformation
✅ Partnership with operations, accounting, and executive leadership
✅ Supporting a scalable finance organization during a major growth phase
The ideal background includes:
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading inventory accounting in a manufacturing or inventory-heavy environment
• SAP S/4HANA experience preferred; SAP or similar large ERP experience required
• Strong technical accounting, controls, and operational finance background
• Ability to lead through change and build scalable processes
• Executive presence and long-term leadership potential
Compensation is highly competitive, with a base salary around $180K–$185K plus 20% bonus, with potential flexibility for an exceptional fit.
This is a hybrid role based in Alpharetta, with up to 30% global travel. There may be flexibility for someone outside of Atlanta who checks all the boxes and is open to regular travel.
