Join Our Dynamic Step Down Unit!\n\nJob Description:\n\n- Unit: Intermediate Care 6C\n- Profession: Registered Nurse\n- Specialty: Step Down\n- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)\n- Experience Required: \n - Minimum of 1 year nursing experience\n - Previous charge experience preferred\n- Patient Ratios: \n - Days: 1:5 \n - Nights: 1:5 \n - Weekends: 1:5\n- Travel Experience: Yes\n- Charting System: Epic (required)\n \nCertifications Preferred:\n- ACLS\n- BLS\n- NIHSS\n \nEssential Skills:\n- Telemetry\n- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience\n- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response\n- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management\n- Administration of IV therapy and phlebotomy\n- Blood product administration\n- Central and peripheral line care/management\n- Medication management (including cardiac drips – no titration)\n- Respiratory support: \n - Nasal cannula \n - Oxygen administration \n - Non-invasive airway management\n- Isolation precautions and PPE\n\nWork Setting:\n- Engage with a diverse patient demographic, primarily adults\n- Daily census ranges from 12-14 patients\n- 24 rooms and beds for your care delivery\n\nInterdisciplinary Support:\n- Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation\n\nUnit Details:\n- A blend of med/surg and intermediate care patients\n- Nurse-to-patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 based on patient assignments each shift\n- Orientation: 24 hours\n- Float required to departments of equal or lesser acuity\n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
