Providing leadership in a specialized school setting, this full-time position is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse ready to manage and enhance health services for K-12 students. The role encompasses overseeing a health center located in Baltimore, MD, serving a school for the blind, where compassionate care and clinical excellence are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the health center ensuring efficient and effective health service delivery.
  • Supervise nursing staff and coordinate clinical nursing activities.
  • Develop and implement health policies tailored to the needs of students aged K-12.
  • Collaborate with school personnel to promote wellness and manage chronic health conditions.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Support nursing staff through training, scheduling, and performance oversight.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Maryland RN licensure is required.
  • Proven experience in school nursing, preferably in specialized educational environments.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work full-time: 35 daytime hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for evening and night assignments.
  • Commitment to a 12-month contract schedule.
