Location: Plymouth, MN

Pay Rate: $22-27/hour
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Plymouth, MN. This is a permanent role focused on ensuring accurate payment application, resolving customer billing issues, and maintaining current and accurate customer accounts. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and collaborating closely with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, research, and resolve customer billing discrepancies , including short payments and deductions
- Investigate invoice disputes and payment variances in a timely manner
- Apply customer payments accurately, including ACH, check, and remote deposits
- Reconcile daily deposits and resolve posting discrepancies
- Coordinate with Accounting and AR team members to correct posting or tax-related issues
- Research returned mail and update customer billing information as needed
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries with a strong service mindset
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports as requested
- Ensure all transactions are posted timely and accurately in the accounting system
- Support additional AR or accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel; experience with bank portals is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities
