Responsibilities
As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will be given the tools, resources, and training to:

• Navigate the day's activities alongside our infants, offering gentle guidance and support as they navigate their first steps.
• Manage the Infant classroom ensuring compliance with all Office of Child Care regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors.
• Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebrees infant curriculum
• Ensure the classroom is a safe, clean, and inviting space where curiosity can flourish.
• Accurately complete all paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records, and attendance tracking

Qualifications

• Must meet Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Lead Teacher qualifications
• Minimum of 23 years of experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education setting
• One of the following credentials:
• CDA (Child Development Associate) OR
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR
• Equivalent education/training as approved by VDSS
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Completion of required VDSS training (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• This position requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the behavioral and developmental stages of children and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements
• The ability to manage a classroom, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. patience, flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Lead or Co-Lead Teacher
• Experience implementing a structured or research-based curriculum
• Knowledge of Virginia licensing standards and classroom compliance
• Experience mentoring or supporting assistant teachers
• Passion for continuous learning and professional development
