We are seeking dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienists to join our fast-paced, dental practice. We serve individuals with Medicaid insurance exclusively, with a large number of patients who have special needs. We have full-time and part-time positions available.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality hygiene care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. You will play a vital role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices. We are looking for full or part time hygienists. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and vital signs monitoring.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Utilize Dentrix software for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, dietary recommendations, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Review and maintain medical records to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the management of the dental office environment, ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for patients.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Colorado, including license to administer local anesthetic.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of infection control practices.
- Experience with Dentrix is preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Though we are looking for full time hygienists, we can be flexible with personal needs for schedules as long as we are made aware in advance. Our office can be fast paced, but our staff are willing to help each other out if someone is falling behind. We are an externship site for the CU Dental School, providing educational opportunities for our staff as well as the fourth year dental students who work in our office for 3 weeks at a time.
We work with children, adults, and individuals with special needs, striving to provide care for the whole family, and we do attempt to make each visit "Fun At The Dentist".
