Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 educational settings in Castroville, TX, through the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role involves working predominantly in person, with consideration for virtual candidates, to cover maternity leave assignments and provide vital speech therapy services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to approximately 95+ students at one elementary school location and about 50 students at another campus
- Supervising an SLP Assistant to support therapy services and administrative tasks
- Preparing for and actively participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to ensure compliant and effective student support plans
- Collaborating with educators and staff to support student progress and therapeutic goals
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience delivering teletherapy and in-school speech therapy services
- Strong organizational skills for ARD preparation and documentation
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLP Assistants

Benefits include working on a contract basis for clearly defined periods aligned with maternity leaves:
- February 1 to April 30 at one elementary school
- Approximately March 10 through May 30 at a nearby elementary school
