About the Role:

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse with Avir at Southcross, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care services to patients in our facility, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as ordered by physicians

  • Recording patient data and updating patient charts accurately and efficiently

  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, families, and staff

  • Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care services, including but not limited to:

    • Administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians

    • Performing wound care and other treatments as ordered by physicians

    • Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the healthcare team

    • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient data and treatment plans

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
