Packing Machine Operator
Shift: Monday – Friday 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $19.50-$21.00 - DOQ
We are hiring a Packing Machine Operator to operate and monitor food packaging equipment while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role is responsible for machine setup, production monitoring, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up packaging machines according to product specifications (bag size, seals, code dates, nitrogen checks, etc.)
- Review production schedules and coordinate with Forklift Operators and line staff
- Monitor seal tests, weights, oxygen levels, and machine settings during production
- Document hourly production results and notify supervisors of any issues
- Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and staging materials for current and upcoming jobs
- Ensure all safety, sanitation, Organic, and Allergen procedures are followed
- Verify pallet tags, machine settings, and scale calibrations
Qualifications
- Previous machine operation experience preferred (food production a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
