Job Title: RN – Pediatric ICU
Location: Bronx, NY
Type: Contract
Pay Rate:
Local Pay: up to $3,100 Weekly
Travel Pay: up to $3,600 Weekly
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 3x12 | Total Weekly Hours: 36
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric ICU
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions closely
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures and patient monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor vital signs, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other critical care equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients’ families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, infection control policies, and patient care protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of Maternal and Child nursing experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience required
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Licensure / Certification
- Active New York State RN License required
- Primary Source Verification from NYSED required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA PALS Certification required
