Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a Maryland or compact RN license, EPIC experience, and night shift availability with every-other-weekend coverage.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a 46-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 140
- Patient population spans all age groups, including neonates, with diagnoses such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest
- Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
- Specialty equipment includes a Belmont rapid infuser for trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, rapid infuser, and Lucas device for cardiac arrests
- Charting is performed in Epic; experience is required
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:30–08:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating required within the specialty as needed
- No scheduled on-call required
- Provide emergency nursing care across a broad patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Manages high-acuity cases including trauma, cardiac arrest, and stroke
- Holiday coverage required on assigned holidays as they fall on the schedule
- First-time travelers with 5 or more years of ED experience are welcome to apply

- Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a compact state license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), CPI, and TNCC
- Minimum 3 years of ED nursing experience required
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers with 5+ years of ED experience will be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
