Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Health & Life Insurance Advisor to assist individuals and families in navigating health insurance options, enrolling in plans, and ensuring they receive the best coverage to meet their needs. This role requires a knowledgeable and customer-focused professional who is licensed in Minnesota and experienced in helping clients understand and secure individual and family health insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals and families in finding and enrolling in health insurance plans that suit their needs.
- Educate clients on available health insurance options, including ACA-compliant plans, private health insurance, and supplemental policies.
- Guide clients through the application and enrollment process, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Evaluate clients’ needs and provide recommendations on health insurance products.
- Stay up to date with Minnesota health insurance laws, regulations, and market changes to provide accurate information.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing support, policy reviews, and renewal assistance.
- Assist clients with claims, billing questions, and policy changes when necessary.
- Maintain proper licensing and continuing education requirements for the state of Minnesota.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Health & Life Insurance license in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience in individual and family health insurance sales, enrollment assistance, or brokerage.
- Strong understanding of health insurance policies, deductibles, copayments, and provider networks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client cases efficiently.
- Familiarity with MNsure (Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and online enrollment platforms.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work with ACA health plans, Medicare, or private insurance carriers.
- Background in sales, consulting, or customer service in the insurance industry.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
