The Role
This is a pure hunting role. We are not looking for a relationship manager or an account babysitter. We need someone who wakes up every morning thinking about their next signed contract. If you need leads handed to you and a script to follow, this is not your job. If you know how to open doors, build trust fast, and close deals in a competitive market, keep reading.
You will be responsible for identifying and closing new business across Louisiana but open to all states. You will sell payroll and time and attendance software and processing, tax administration, and HR services to businesses of all sizes and industries. You will manage your territory and your pipeline.
What You Will Do
- Prospect and develop new business relationships through cold calling, networking, referrals, and direct outreach
- Identify decision makers at target companies and get in front of them
- Conduct needs assessments and present Highflyer Payroll solutions that solve real business problems
- Manage your pipeline from first contact through signed contract
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure smooth client onboarding after the sale
- Represent Highflyer Payroll at industry events, chamber functions, and networking opportunities across your territory
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual new revenue targets
What We Are Looking For
- 3 or more years of outside B2B sales experience - payroll, HR services, benefits, or financial services experience is a strong plus
- Proven track record of hunting and closing new business - we will ask for numbers, be ready to share them
- Someone who is comfortable making cold calls, knocking on doors, and following up relentlessly without being told to
- Strong communicator who can explain complex payroll and tax concepts in plain language to a business owner
- Self managed and disciplined - you will be working a multi state territory and nobody will be watching over your shoulder
- Competitive by nature - you keep score and you do not like to lose
- Experience with CRM tools to manage pipeline and activity

- Base salary averaging $75,000 depending on experience
