About the Role
Central MEP Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for a commercial union project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background supporting large-scale commercial electrical projects within a union construction environment.
You will work closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with union and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Support the project management team in planning and executing electrical scopes

Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications for accuracy

Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field supervisors

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

Monitor job site progress and report on performance metrics

Ensure compliance with union agreements, safety standards, and local codes

Assist with procurement of materials and equipment
Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in electrical construction or project engineering

Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installations

Experience working on union job sites required

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Proficiency with project management and scheduling software

Strong organizational and communication skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
