Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $26.44 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a full-time, onsite position with the potential to transition to a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Perform bank and account reconciliations

Process payroll and maintain payroll records

Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries

Handle invoicing, billing, and collections

Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Communicate with vendors and clients regarding financial transactions
Qualifications:

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Strong understanding of accounting principles

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
