Role Description This is an on-site, contract Salesperson role based in Riverside, IL. The Salesperson will greet and engage customers on the showroom floor, understand their needs, and recommend furniture solutions that align with their budget and preferences. Daily responsibilities include providing product information, demonstrating features and benefits, preparing price quotes, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to purchase. The role also involves handling basic paperwork, processing transactions, maintaining an organized and appealing showroom, and following up with customers as needed to support a positive buying experience. The Salesperson will work closely with team members and management to meet individual and store sales goals while upholding company standards.

- Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to listen, ask clarifying questions, and explain product features clearly.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, with comfort in guiding purchasing decisions and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Basic retail operations skills, such as handling transactions, managing simple documentation, and maintaining showroom presentation.
- General computer literacy, including the use of point-of-sale systems and common office software for orders and records.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move furniture with appropriate assistance, and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in retail, furniture sales, or a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in sales or business is a plus.
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment focused on customer satisfaction.
