Job Description

Office Manager – Canine & Equine Industry

About Us:
We are a growing company in the canine and equine industry, seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized Office Manager to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll wear many hats — from handling administrative tasks to supporting shipping and customer service. If you thrive working independently, love multi-tasking, and want to be part of a purpose-driven business, we’d like to meet you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the office to ensure maximum productivity.

  • Answer phone calls, take customer orders, and provide world-class service.

  • Manage office supply inventory, purchasing, and vendor coordination.

  • Draft and send professional emails, reports, contracts, and correspondence.

  • Process orders, create shipping labels, and assist with packing items (including handling dry ice).

  • Data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Occasionally coordinate appointments, meetings, and event travel.

  • Support the business in any administrative areas needed to keep things moving efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 3 years of prior office administration experience.

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • QuickBooks proficiency is required; EDI/SPS experience is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Must be a proactive self-starter who works well independently.

  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and assist with shipping tasks when needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM - with an hour for lunch

  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Why Join Us:
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in the administration and success of our company. You’ll enjoy variety in your day-to-day work, autonomy in how you manage the office, and the satisfaction of contributing to a business that makes a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
