Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Type: Permanent Placement
Schedule: Days & Nights Available | Rotating Weekends | 36–40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $30.04 - $41.50/Hour
Shift Differential: +$4.00/Hour for Nights | +$4.00/Hour for Weekends
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills and experience caring for medical and post-surgical patients.
Requirements

ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.

Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License.

BLS Certification required.

Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.

Strong Med-Surg clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage a diverse adult patient population.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to medical and post-surgical patients.

Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status.

Develop and implement individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments.

Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Supervise and support nursing support staff.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
